Male Gaze

A term that refers to the way that media and culture tend to portray women from a heterosexual male perspective, often objectifying them or sexualizing them for male pleasure. Male gaze can also affect how women see themselves and other women through internalized sexism. Male gaze can limit the representation and agency of women in various fields and domains .
