was a prodigy and hacker co-founded Reddit, Creative Commons, and Demand Progress.
He also helped create the RSS web feed format contributed to the development of Markdown and web.py.
He was an advocate for open access, net neutrality, and civil liberties. He died by suicide in 2013 after facing federal charges for downloading millions of academic articles from JSTOR
